Our charming 80-square-meter apartment is perfect for couples, families, or small groups.

It has one bedroom, a large living-room/kitchen area, one full bathroom, and another half bathroom. The bedroom is quiet and private, with a big window that lets in the morning sun, and plenty of space in wardrobes. The bed is in between a Kind and a Queen side bed (180 x 200 cm) and there is also a single bed (90 x 200 cm).

The living-room/kitchen area is a great place to relax and unwind, with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy a meal. This area is fully furnished and equipped, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. This includes a fully equipped kitchen, free Wi-Fi, cable TV with sound-bar, two sofa beds, and an additional bed. The two couches in the living area both turn into very comfortable and sizeable beds. In the guest guidebook you will find a detailed description of how to do this.

The full bathroom has two sinks and washer and dryer machines.

Local atractions

It is just a short walk to a metro station to reach all the major tourist attractions, including the Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, and the Prague Castle. But there's so much to see and do in our neighbourhood! Depending on the time of the year local attractions are: going to an open air theater by the Žižkov TV Tower, enjoy concerts in churches, or go skating in a pop-up rink (also by the Žižkov TV tower). Here are some of our favourite local spots:

Kostel Nejsvětějšího Srdce Páně (Roman Catholic parish at the Church of the Sacred Heart) - (3 min walk)

The unusual shape of the building was inspired by Noah's Ark [5] and royal symbolism (e.g. the facade with protruding stones symbolizes the royal ermine , the mine at the top of the tower the royal apple ). (website)

Žižkov Television Tower - (2 min walk)

Unquestionably the main landmark of the Žižkov district, at 216 m in height, it's also the tallest building in the city. With a 360° view, Prague is laid out before your eyes from the viewing platform at 93 m. One entire floor is dedicated to relaxation and above all to top quality gourmet experiences. The architects Václav Aulický and Jiří Kozák designed the tower in the 1980s. Ten giant sculptures of babies by leading Czech artist David Černý crawl all over the outside of the tower. (website)

Rieger Gardens (Riegrovy sady) - (6 min walk)

This park, over a century old, shelters intimate nooks and places with wooded areas, open grassy areas (where we do our 5k run) and amazing views of the city, children‘s playground, pets allowed. Vineyards used to be located here, and all that remains today are parts of the original buildings: the Classicist lookout from the 1920s, renovated into a restaurant, and a three-sided obelisk of sandstone from around 1840. (website)

Atrium Flora (Modern shopping mall) - (11 min walk)

Atrium Flora is a modern shopping center near to our apartament. On an area of 20,000 square meters, it offers four floors of services, 130 brand stores full of fashion and entertainment. On the fourth floor you will find the Cinema City restaurant and multi-cinema with a 3D IMAX movie theater. (website)

Restaurants & Bars

Restaurants and bars

The Czech cuisine is original and very tasty, so do not miss the opportunity to try the typical plates! Have a look at this website,  which has a very easy and nice explanation of the Czech cuisine:  https://nomadparadise.com/czech-food/

We are excited to share a bit of information about the local restaurants that are nearby (literally less than 3 min walking distance from our apartment); they are highly recommended by locals and ourselves. Make sure to explore these places during your stay to enjoy some delicious culinary experiences.

  1. U Mariánského obrazu: Located nearby, U Mariánského obrazu is an excellent Czech restaurant that offers authentic and tasty cuisine. You will be delighted with the variety of traditional dishes and affordable prices. It's definitely a great choice for an authentic and budget-friendly meal.

  2. U Sadu: If you are a fan of chilled beer and excellent Klobasa (Czech sausage), don't miss U Sadu. This place is known for its wide selection of beers and relaxed atmosphere. Sit back, enjoy a refreshing beer, and savour the delicious Klobasa while soaking in the lively ambiance.

  3. BOHO cafe & store: For a nice evening out, we suggest BOHO cafe & store. It's a super cool place where you can enjoy a variety of beverages, such as specialty coffees and cocktails, and they have excellent wines on their wine list. They also offer a selection of unique products. Take pleasure in the cozy and laid-back atmosphere of this café and discover something new.

  4. Spravovna: Beer enthusiasts must visit Spravovna. Here, you will find the best Pilsner Urquell beer served ice-cold. This pub offers an authentic and friendly atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to enjoy high-quality beer and socialize with the locals.

  5. Il Capitano Ristorante: If you're in the mood for an Italian dining experience, Il Capitano Ristorante is an excellent choice. With a cozy and warm ambiance, this restaurant offers authentic and flavorful Italian dishes. Savour a delicious pizza or well-prepared pasta accompanied by a good selection of wines.

These are just a few of the many options very close to the apartment. Vinohrady is still developing and new bars and restaurants appear regularly. We love it, as it is at walking distance of the apartment, and there is a much lower risk of the "tourist trap" feeling, because it caters mostly to expats and locals that live in or near this area.

Getting around

Our apartment is conveniently located near several public transportation options.

The nearest subway station is at the square of the church (náměstí Jiřího z Poděbrad) but, unfortunately, this station is under reconstruction. We suggest taking the tram, at the same  square but at the Jiřího z Poděbrad avenue; from there you can get to Flora shopping mall to take the Metro line A into the center of Prague.

We recommend you to use Google Maps. It will facilitate your trip and help to understand the metro and tram system (metro lines and tram numbers). Public transportation makes Prague even more attractive, it is very effective and easy to use. Also, the tickets for the public transport are easy to buy and use. You can buy tickets for just 30 minutes or for multiple days. Check out where and how to get tickets below.

  • In information centers and selling points at most of the metro stations

  • In yellow ticket vending machines at metro stations and some surface transit stops

  • In newspaper shops in the whole area of Prague

  • In the mobile application PID Lítačka (paid by credit/debit card, Masterpass or Apple Pay, ticket needs to be activated before your travel)

  • Inside every tram (only by contactless credit/debit card)
